I'm from Walkden (Near Bolton and Manchester). Most of my Childhood was spent either studying or playing Golf. Inevitably the latter turned into a career. After a successful amateur career, I became a Fully Qualified PGA Professional Golfer by the age of 21, and tried to make it as a Tournament golfer.  

I had various levels of success, but realised eventually that my family comes first, and resolved to secure a safe future.

There are many things I could have continued to do within Golf as a qualified coach or as a retailer, but a friend of mine introduced me to Driving Instructing. 

I could see the satisfaction in making a real difference to someone’s life. After all, Driving is a life skill which must be worked on continually. After a 6 month training period where I achieved excellent grades, I knew then I'd found my career. 

Ever since then I have been coaching/mentoring pupils to test standard and beyond. I always try to keep touch with all my pupils even beyond their lessons. Just every now and then, as my job is to keep giving support, if required way beyond the test as the pupils driving career grows.  

Oh, and yes......I still play Golf quite regularly!
